Hardcovers for The Stone Cycle Complete Sets
For anyone wanting an attractive and hard wearing print edition of The Stone Cycle stories, hardcover editions are now available for each of the books in The Stone Cycle Complete Sets series.
The entire Stone Cycle series in three Hardcovers
Paperback editions are widely available for my novels and novelettes, but not for my complete sets. Each of the three complete sets includes a minimum of two full novels, which means they're loooong. They would make for very fat paperbacks!
In recent times it's become easier to prepare sturdy and attractive hardbacks with glossy covers and dust jackets. It's also straightforward to include background graphics at chapter headings within the books, making for an appealing reading experience.
There are limits to the page count for a hardcover, but it turns out that each complete set falls within the limit (if only just). As as result, I decided to make hardcover editions available for the three Stone Cycle complete sets:
- The Stone of Knowing Complete Set
- The Stone of Authority Complete Set
- The Stone of Vitality Complete Set
The Stone of Knowing Complete Set includes two full-length novels and a novelette. Based on recommended retail prices, the hardcover comes in at just 8% more than the combined cost of the paperback versions! The other two complete sets each include two full-length novels, and they cost around 30% more than the relevant paperbacks. You get significantly more for the extra cost.
I chose Jacketed Case Laminate Hardbacks, which means they have dust jackets as well as glossy hard cases. Each book features:
- Sturdier binding and harder wearing covers
- Different glossy images for the cover and the dust jacket
- Background graphics (specific to each component book) on inside pages—for all book, volume, and chapter headers
- Extended book, series, and author information on the back and inside sleeves of the dust jacket
